Let these hints give a better tint
In the morning, you spent a good 15 minutes applying makeup and perfecting your face to display it to the world. During the commute to the office, you catch a glimpse of a pinkish-red zit destroying your face-art that took so long to refine. “Ugh,” you grumble to yourself, as you wonder why your 20/20 Lasik-improved vision didn’t catch the flaw at home. There’s no need to blame your eyes. It’s the light that would be the culprit in this case. Today, the Lite Source will uncover little sinister tricks lighting hues can play on your beauty routine.
One of the major differences in lighting is the color tint the light gives off. Here are a few different ways colored hues and tones can affect your makeup application:
Red-tinted lightingUnder a red tinted light, darker makeup may appear more profound and vibrant. This especially goes for red makeup, such as ruby-red lipstick or red blush.
Blue-tinted lighting
When makeup is applied under a blue-tinted light, a complexion will often appear paler and washed out. A blue-tinted light can also make reddish makeup appear slightly violet or grey.
Green-tinted lighting
Lighting with a green tint will have a similar affect as a blue tint. Skin tones may appear lighter.
Yellow-tinted lighting
A yellow –tinted light can intensify any sort of red and yellow pigment that is applied to the face or body.
The chart below can help sort out color differences under even more tinted lighting:
