Inspired by Nature: OttLite Bulbs

Whether you may think about it or not, nature inspires us in many ways. From architecture to the colors in a box of crayons, the elements of nature are present. Just take a moment to look around and you’ll more than likely find at least one or two objects that have a link to nature in the room you’re in right now!

When it comes to lighting, OttLite bulbs are inspired by nature, in more ways than one. The light radiated from the bulbs emit just the right balance and contrast to bring out life’s most vivid and natural colors and all OttLite bulbs  meet 2012 EISA (Energy Independence and Security Act) requirements now.

What is the EISA?
The EISA is an act put into play by congress to improve the efficiency standards of basic light bulbs beginning in Jan. 2012. These standards will require newly manufactured bulbs to be 25 percent more effective in conserving energy. In terms of saving money, according to the U.S. department of Energy, exchanging 15 incandescent bulbs, could save about $50 per year. That is definitely thinking about nature in terms of conservation!  (Source: http://1.usa.gov/n6pLdG)

In regards to Mother Nature, OttLite bulbs are developed by Dr. John Ott, an award winner at the Garden Club of America. Ott’s creation is ideal for indoor plants. His light bulbs provide the benefits of natural daylight and will display greenery in true color. Another benefit to indoor planting with an OttLite bulb is the heat –factor. An OttLite will not wilt blooms or dry out soil.

If you have any comments or suggestions, we would love to hear from you!
