Since light is an essential to our nature and is utilized in a large portion our daily activity, why not take advantage of the best lighting we can get? Unbeknownst to many, poor quality lighting can have a negative effect on our mood when we work, play and relax. Dim or reduced illumination can cause sluggishness where too much brightness can cause aggravation and possible headaches. Instead of living with an inferior glow, here are some tips to help obtain the best quality lighting possible.
· If not in natural lighting or in an outdoor environment, always have a lamp nearby when reading.
· For ample illumination at a lower wattage, try a florescent light.
· Adding LED lights can reduce glare when it comes to doing tasks up close.
· Try pendant lighting to provide a stylish flair while adding extra illumination.
· For natural lighting, change your old light bulb for an OttLite High Definition bulb.
· Add under fixtures under cabinets to make food preparation easier on your eyes.
· Light up a bookshelf, prized painting or figurines with track, rail or recessed lighting.
· Add a chandelier or a pendant light over a dinner or dining room table. Lower the light for ambient dining or brighten it up for table games or tasks.
